Implicações do plano de voluntariado na motivação para o trabalho voluntário

Abstract

Nas últimas décadas o trabalho voluntário tem vindo a assumir maior protagonismo, dado o papel crucial que desenvolve em prol do bem-estar da sociedade. Consequentemente, a sua gestão tem-se tornado mais exigente, como ilustra a crescente popularidade e implementação de um Plano de Voluntariado. Todavia, sendo o trabalho voluntário um exercício altruísta, questiona-se sobre o impacto do acréscimo de responsabilidades e exigências decorrentes do Plano de Voluntariado na motivação dos voluntários. Com base nestas considerações é desenvolvido um estudo de cariz qualitativo na Juventude Cruz Vermelha que analisa as perceções de 25 voluntários face à implementação de um Plano de Voluntariado e eventuais consequências na sua motivação.

In the last decades, the volunteer work has been assuming greater significance, given its crucial role in working towards society’s well-being. As a result, its management has become more demanding, as shown by the increasing popularity and implementation of a Volunteering Plan. However, since volunteer work is an altruistic practice, one can wonder about the impact of the increase of responsibilities and demands resulting from the Volunteering Plan on the volunteers’ motivation. Based on these considerations, a qualitative study is developed in the Juventude Cruz Vermelha, which analyses the perceptions of 25 volunteers on the implementation of a Volunteering Plan and the possible consequences on their motivation.
