Caraterização dos consumos energéticos em edifícios de habitação visando a sua redução

Abstract

Atendendo à crescente importância da eficiência energética, surgem cada vez mais iniciativas com o objetivo de a alcançar nos mais diversos domínios. Um importante campo de intervenção passa pelo setor da construção e da utilização de edifícios, cujos consumos energéticos elevados carecem de redução, de forma a diminuir a fatura energética e o seu impacto ambiental. Através da ponderação de trinta faturas da eletricidade de habitações multifamiliares de tipologia T3 no concelho de Braga, o presente estudo pretendeu analisar os diferentes consumos elétricos de cada habitação, com o intuito de compreender de que modo e a que níveis está a energia a ser utilizada. Para além disso, através de questionários realizados foi determinado o perfil de utilização das habitações analisadas, o que permitiu conhecer os hábitos dos ocupantes relativamente aos equipamentos que utilizam e também os diversos fatores relacionados com o próprio edifício. Tal estudo permitiu constatar que o setor dos edifícios de habitação apresenta ainda um grande potencial de redução dos consumos energéticos e que ações individuais poderão ser determinantes para alcançar a eficiência energética. Também os equipamentos instalados no interior dos edifícios têm um grande impacto nos consumos energéticos, pelo que a sua redução mediante uma seleção criteriosa do tipo de equipamentos e uma utilização racional dos mesmos é essencial.

Taking into account the increasing importance given to energy efficiency, it is necessary to take steps in order to achieve such efficiency in several sectors. The construction industry and the use of buildings represent an important area in this field of intervention due to its high energy consumptions that must be studied to reduce the energy bill and environmental impacts. This study aimed to analyze the energy consumption patterns in different multifamily residential buildings through the analysis of thirty electricity bills. The buildings studied are three bedroom dwellings located in the district of Braga. In addition, through the analysis of the survey made to the occupants, it was possible to determine the users’ profile of all analyzed households, which allowed acknowledging the occupants’ behavior in what concerns equipments and appliances and also in what concerns to the aspects related to the building itself. This study allowed to verify that the residential buildings sector still has great energy consumptions reduction potential and that individual actions are essential to achieve energy efficiency. The energy consumptions reduction might also be accomplished through a wise selection of the type of devices and by their rational use.
