O ritual iniciático e a formação de si-mesmo : razão imaginante na vida de Pinóquio

Abstract

O presente estudo, ilustrado pela vida de Pinóquio, serve para mostrar a importância do ritual iniciático na formação de si-mesmo. Um ritual que visa a trans-formação do sujeito chamado, ou não, Pinóquio e que tem implicações na sua formação existencial. Uma formação que faz da razão imaginante o seu leitmotiv fundamental e que faz dessa mesma razão imaginante a sua pedra-angular. Uma formação que se faz por metamorfose, que não é mais do que uma maturação no mundo da vida com quem o sujeito estabelece incessantes diálogos, pontuada por cenários que, embora não tendo sempre um caráter iniciático, se deseja de tipo iniciático. Neste sentido, a educação, revestindo uma hermenêutica do vivido, aparece como mediadora entre razão e imaginação, entre a Vida como Mestre e o sujeito como seu discípulo. Trata-se de uma educação entendida como Bildung que, por conseguinte, revaloriza o papel das metáforas, dos símbolos e dos mitos e esta revalorização também não é insensível à história de vida do educando. Para melhor concretizar o agora exposto, o autor divide o seu estudo em três partes: a primeira parte é dedicada à “iniciação e morte iniciática”; a segunda trata da “metamorfose iniciática de Pinóquio”; a terceira, e última, fala do significado do percurso iniciático das Aventuras de Pinóquio à luz da hermenêutica do vivido. Estas três partes visam, à luz da filosofia do imaginário educacional, contribuir para uma remitologização da abordagem educacional que aposta antes na formação do ideal do homo viator (Gabriel Marcel), do que na formação de criaturas filhas de Frankenstein.

This article is based on a research on Pinocchio’s life and it aims at emphasizing the initial ritual in the development of the self. This is a ritual that is directed at the transformation of the subject named (or not) Pinocchio and it has implications in his/her existence. This formation is made through the imagination Reason and makes it its leitmotiv and main pillar. This development is made by a metamorphose, a maturation of the world of life with which the subject establishes permanent dialogues of an initiate kind, even if these dialogues are not always on initiation. Therefore, education is the hermeneutics of the lived life, mediation between Reason and imagination, life as the master and the subject as its disciple. It is education considered Bildung that revalues the role of metaphors, symbols and myths and is sensitive to the life history of the learner. The author builds his article in three parts. The first one is directed at debating the “initiation and the initiation of death”. The second is about “the initiation metamorphoses of Pinocchio”. The third and last one stresses the meaning of the initiation pathway of the Adventures of Pinocchio according to the hermeneutics of the life lived. These three parts are devoted at stressing the remythologization of the educational approach, according to the educational imaginary. It emphasizes mainly the development of the ideal homo viator (Gabriel Marcel) and not so much the development of subjects sons of Frankenstein.
