O bem-estar das crianças em acolhimento institucional e o trajeto de vida

Abstract

O acolhimento institucional é a última medida aplicada as crianças/jovens, como meio de proteção, visando salvaguardar os direitos das crianças/jovens. Este trabalho tem como objetivo procurar conhecer uma pouco do trajeto de vida das crianças que se encontram em acolhimento institucional, desde sua entrada na instituição, até seus desejos pós-institucionais, procurando compreender como o ambiente institucional contribui para o seu bem-estar e se o tempo de institucionalização interfere no seu desenvolvimento. Para isso, a investigação contou com uma pequena amostra, mais especificamente com seis crianças na faixa etária entre os 11 e os 13 anos. A investigação é um estudo de caso múltiplo e tem como orientação metodológica a abordagem qualitativa. As informações obtidas, a partir da voz da criança, foram analisadas e interpretadas. O resultado alcançado é fruto de um estabelecimento de cumplicidade, respeito e confiança entre investigador e investigado, sobretudo seguindo os princípios éticos da investigação com criança. A conclusão que chegamos através desta investigação é que a instituição tem que ser um ambiente que proporcione afeto, segurança e cuidados a criança, promovendo o seu bem-estar e para que isso aconteça os técnicos têm que manter uma boa relação com a criança. A relação que as mesmas estabelecem entre pares, estas quando saudáveis, tornam-se um importante contributo para o enfrentamento da sua realidade. A institucionalização deverá ser a mais breve possível, pois o tempo de acolhimento quando prolongado infringe o principal direito da criança, que é o da convivência familiar.

The institutional reception is the last measure applied to young children/kids as kind of protection, and it aims to protect the rights of the same. This job has the objective to know a little of the path of life of children who are in institutional reception, since entering the institution until their post-institutional desires, seeking to understand how the institutional environment contributes to your well-being, and if the institutionalization time changes with the development. For this investigation we had included a small sample, more specifically with 6 children aged between 11 and 13 years old. This research is a multiple study case and it’s a methodological qualitative guidance approach. The information that was obtained from child’s voice were analyzed and interpreted. The achieved result was based in complicity, respect and trust between researchers and investigated, following the ethical principles of the research with child. The conclusion that we came through in this research is that the institution, has to be an environment that provides to the child affection and safety by promoting their well being, for that to happen the technicians have to maintain a good relationship with the children. The relationship that they have when is healthy, become an important contribution to face It’s reality. Institutionalization should be short as possible because if it’s not then violates the primary right of the child that is the family coexistence.
