Educação literária no 1º ciclo: para lá do livro

Abstract

O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido no âmbito da unidade curricular Prática de Ensino Supervisionada II do Mestrado em Educação Pré- Escolar e Ensino do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e contou com a participação de uma turma de 1º e 2º ano da Escola Básica de Sequeira, Braga. O tema do projeto incidiu na Educação Literária tendo como objetivo primordial o desenvolvimento e gosto pela leitura através de inúmeras atividades conexas à leitura, ao livro. Dada a escassez de práticas de leitura quer em casa, quer na escola, acrescido o facto de ser necessário iniciar a literatura precocemente, foi essencial trabalharmos nesse sentido. Sabemos que o domínio da Educação Literária ainda não ocupa a devida importância nas práticas em sala de aula, ainda que, sejam nelas que o desenvolvimento dos hábitos de leitura se iniciam e propagam. O presente projeto de intervenção surgiu da necessidade encontrada no contexto, a dificuldade de interpretação e compreensão do texto, aliada à falta de imaginação. Assim, procuramos desenvolver um projeto que estimulasse as crianças para a leitura, que as sensibilizasse para a importância das práticas de leitura. Os resultados conseguidos mostram-nos que a concretização deste projeto possibilitou aos alunos uma multiplicidade de vivências e experiências, contribuindo para um maior interesse pelos livros e pela leitura. Este interesse repercutiu-se no desejo de adquirir diversos livros, nas conversas formais e informais sobre determinado livro, na leitura de livros existentes em sala de aula no decorrer dos intervalos.

The present work was developed as part of the curricular unit Teaching Practice Supervised II of the Master’s degree in Pre-School and Teaching 1st Cycle of Basic Education and had the participation of a class attending the 1st and 2nd grade from “Sequeira”, a Primary school from Braga. The project theme focused on Literary Education having as primary objective the development and appreciation of reading through activities relating reading and books. Given the deficient reading practices at home and at school, and having in mind how important it is to implement the early reading, it was crucial to develop our work in that area. We know that the field of Literary Education still hasn’t developed more due to the poor practice of it in the classroom, though, it is in the classroom that the development of reading habits start and spread. This intervention project began because it is very clear the difficulty of interpretation and understanding of the text and the lack of imagination in children. So, we tried to develop a project that would encourage children to read and to make them understand the importance of reading practices. The results obtained can show that this project made the students live a variety of several experiences, contributing to a greater interest in reading and in books. This specific interest was reflected in the desire to acquire several books in formal and informal conversations every time we were reading books that were available in the classroom or during the breaks at school.
