As canções infantis na creche e jardim de infância: conhecer os animais através da música

Abstract

O presente relatório surge como consequência do projeto de intervenção no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar do Instituto de Educação, Universidade do Minho, implementado nos contextos de creche e jardim de infância. O projeto tem como título As canções infantis na creche e jardim de infância: conhecer os animais através da música e consistiu em analisar com cuidado as canções infantis sobre animais, compreender aquilo que ensinam às crianças e identificar o seu potencial pedagógico no sentido de possibilitar a aquisição de competências no âmbito do conhecimento do mundo, nomeadamente sobre os animais. O projeto surgiu de dois interesses claros de ambos os grupos: música e animais e relacionou-se também com os projetos educativos de ambas as instituições. A metodologia de investigação aproximou-se de uma investigação-ação e a metodologia de ensino centrou-se no modelo curricular High/Scope no contexto de creche, e na junção dos princípios de alguns modelos curriculares em Jardim de Infância, nomeadamente: High/Scope, Movimento da Escola Moderna e Metodologia de Projeto. Os instrumentos de recolha de dados foram os seguintes: observação, notas de campo, fotografia, trabalhos realizados pelas crianças e inquérito por questionário. Ao longo da implementação do projeto, as crianças realizaram várias atividades relacionando diferentes áreas do saber: expressão musical, expressão plástica, matemática, conhecimento do mundo, linguagem oral e abordagem à escrita; sempre procurando adotar as melhores estratégias para cada grupo. As crianças mantiveram-se interessadas, empenhadas, envolvidas, evoluíram na sua construção de conhecimento e até contribuíram com sugestões. A análise de dados permitiu concluir, assim, que as canções utilizadas no projeto possuem potencial pedagógico implícito e explícito, tendo contribuído, significativamente, para a aquisição de novas competências nas diferentes áreas do saber.

The present report is the result of an intervention project in the scope of the Teaching Supervised Practice, from the Master on Preschool Education at Institute of Education, University of Minho, implemented on the contexts of nursery and kindergarten. This project’s title is Children’s songs in Nursery and Kindergarten: to know the animals through music and consisted on carefully analyzing children’s songs about animals, understanding what they teach to children and identifying it’s education potential in an effort to allow the acquisition of skills within the world knowledge, namely about the animals. This project derived from to clear interests from both groups: music and animals, and it was also related with the educational projects of both institutions. The investigation method has come close to an action-investigation one and the teaching method was based in the High/Scope model in the nursery context and in principles from some curricular models of kindergarten, such as: High/Scope, Modern School Movement and Project Methodology. The instruments used to collect data were: observation, on field notes, photography, tasks made by children and inquiry. Through the project’s implementation, the children performed several activities related with different knowledge areas: musical expression, plastic arts, mathematics, world knowledge, oral language and writing approach; always seeking to adopt the best strategies for each group. The children kept interested, committed, involved, evolved in their knowledge construction and even contributed with suggestions. The data analysis allowed therefore to conclude that the songs used in the project have implicit and explicit educational potential, having a significant contribution on the acquisition of new skills in several knowledge areas.
