Abstract

“Olhares e Reflexões de um estagiário no atelier de Dominique Perrault Architecture” é um trabalho de investigação que reflete sobre a experiência associada a um estágio de 6 meses no gabinete de Arquitetura de Dominique Perrault. A investigação é feita na primeira pessoa e começou no primeiro dia de estágio, no dia 20 de Fevereiro de 2017, tendo sido fortemente influenciada e condicionada pelas atividades realizadas e o seu desenvolvimento. Pretende-se partilhar neste trabalho todo o enriquecimento transmitido pelo estágio: desde o mais geral, como a postura conceptual do atelier, até ao particular, como a execução de acabamentos de projetos em concreto. Os conteúdos explorados na investigação têm por base vários elementos, que são apresentados e alvo de interpretação detalhada e reflexão: a prática de Arquitetura do atelier, as suas lógicas de funcionamento, as rotinas nele vivenciadas e o espaço de trabalho; os projetos em que tive a oportunidade de participar, acompanhando as suas várias fases projetuais, desde o estudo prévio, licenciamento, concurso, execução e acompanhamento de obra; os seus temas específicos, postura projetual, rotinas, processo de tomadas de decisões, ritmos de trabalho e relações entre os diversos intervenientes do mundo da Arquitetura. O trabalho conclui com uma reflexão pessoal sobre toda a experiência, que pretende despertar o debate sobre este tema e estimular mais envolvimento e investigação sobre a iniciação no mundo profissional de Arquitetura por parte da comunidade académica.

"Perspectives and reflections of an intern in Dominique Perrault Architecture's office" is an investigation project that reflects on the experience associated with a 6-month internship in Dominique Perrault's Architecture Office. The research is done in the first person and began on the first day of the internship, on February 20, 2017, having been strongly influenced and conditioned by the activities carried out and their development. It is intended to share all the enrichment transmitted by the internship: from the most general, such as the philosophy of the studio, to the particular, as the execution of a construction detail. The contents explored in the research are based on several elements, which are presented and explored: The practice of Architecture at the office, its logics of operation, the routines in it and the work space; The projects in which I had the opportunity to participate, in different project phases, from the sketch phase, licensing, competition, execution and assistance of the construction site; Its specific themes, design posture, routines, decision-making process, work rhythms and relationships among the various actors in the world of Architecture. To conclude, there is a personal reflection about the whole experience, which intends to stimulate the debate on this theme and stimulate more research on the professional world of Architecture by the academic community.
