Desencadeando a empatia: relato de uma experiência

Abstract

É parte integrante do plano de estudos do Mestrado em Educação Pré-escolar a Unidade Curricular de Estágio que, por sua vez, se encontra organizada de forma a conceder a oportunidade aos alunos de vivenciar experiências de prática em contextos reais onde o principal propósito é o desenvolvimento de um perfil específico de conhecimentos e competências inerentes à formação dos mestrandos. O presente relatório tem, assim, como principal intenção a apresentação de um projeto de intervenção pedagógica com dimensão investigativa, onde é pretendido demonstrar como o educador de infância pode criar um clima promotor da empatia, dada a sua importância para o desenvolvimento de relações interpessoais positivas. Para tal foram recolhidos, no decorrer do estágio, registos de observação de ocorrências na sala de jardim de infância que demonstram algumas intervenções por parte do educador junto das crianças cujo o objetivo é o de desenvolver esta capacidade, bem como outros registos que demonstram algumas atitudes das crianças que revelam a aquisição desta capacidade. Alia-se, deste modo, a dimensão investigativa à intervenção pedagógica. Estas observações e a sua análise permitiram construir aprendizagens em torno da capacidade de empatia, bem como no que diz respeito a estratégias a promover tendo em vista o seu desenvolvimento. Para além disso, foi reconhecida a importância de promover estratégias que desenvolvam esta e outras dimensões que constituem os principais alicerces para a construção de relações humanas positivas, que por sua vez favorecem o sucesso da aprendizagem, o convívio e a vivência em grupo.

It is an integral part of the master's study plan in pre-school education the curricular unit of training which, in turn, is organized in order to grant the students the opportunity to experience practical experiences in real contexts where the main Purpose is the development of a specific profile of knowledge and skills inherent in the formation of the Masters. This report has as it is main intention the presentation of a project of pedagogical intervention with an investigative dimension, where it is intended to demonstrate how the kindergarten educator can create a climate promoter of empathy, given its importance for the development of positive interpersonal relationships. For this purpose, records of actual cases occurring in the kindergarten room were collected during the internship, demonstrating some interventions by the educator with children whose objective is to develop this capacity as well as other records demonstrating some of the children's attitudes that reveal the acquisition of this capacity. In this way, the investigative dimension combines with the pedagogical intervention. These observations and their analysis have made it possible to build learning about the ability to empathize, as well as the strategies to be promoted with a view to their development. In addition, it was recognized the importance of promoting strategies that develop this and other dimensions that constitute the main foundations for the construction of positive human relations, which in turn favor the success of learning, the social interaction and the living group experience.
