The present work demonstrates the ballistic performance of military helmets based on multiscale composites in which carbon nanotubes (CNT) were added to the matrix. Several composite samples were tested with different percentages of CNT before the helmets production. The ballistic tests performed demonstrate that the composites reinforced with 0,75% CNT present an upgrade in their ballistic performance and a weight reductionaround 30%, when compared to those used to produce conventional helmets in the market.por
