Contextualização cultural e aprendizagem de caracteres chineses: o caso da UC “Cultura Popular da China” da Licenciatura em Línguas e Culturas Orientais

Abstract

A presente dissertação tem como principal objetivo a clarificação da relação entre a cultura chinesa e os carateres chineses. Visa também compreender de que forma o ensino de carateres em contexto cultural poderá influenciar a sua aprendizagem. No primeiro semestre da Licenciatura em Línguas e Culturais Orientais da Universidade do Minho é lecionada a UC “Cultura Popular da China”. Esta foca-se na apresentação de conteúdo cultural acompanhado do ensino de carateres relacionados com diversos temas. Na tentativa de identificar as vantagens e desvantagens da aprendizagem de carateres com contextualização cultural e de perceber o ponto de vista dos alunos em relação a esta temática, levou-se a cabo um estudo de caso com os alunos que frequentaram a referida UC entre os anos letivos 2011/2012 e 2015/2016.

This work aims to clarify the relationship between Chinese culture and Chinese characters. It also aims to understand how the teaching of the characters in a cultural context can influence their learning. In the first semester of the Degree in Oriental Languages and Culture at the University of Minho, first year students are required to attend Chinese popular culture classes. In these classes, cultural content is presented to the students alongside many characters related to the various cultural topics. Therefore, with the collaboration of the students who attendend the classes between 2011 and 2015, a case study was performed in order to identify the advantages and disadvantages of character learning in a cultural context and to understand the students' point of view regarding these issues.

在米尼奥大学东方语言与文化学士学位的第一学期，一年级的学生必须修读中国 民俗文化课。 在这一门以学生的母语葡萄牙语为授课语言的十二种主题中，各种 与文化主题和内容相关的主要概念均以汉字原文呈现给学生， 其目的是在教授中 国文化的同时，让各种文化主题成为学生认读汉字的语境。本硕士论文试图通过 阐明中国文化与汉字之间的关系以及对中国民俗文化课课程的汉字导入教学法的 分析与调研，了解文化语境中的汉字习得的效果。为此，在2011 年至2015 年期 间， 本文作者将该课程作为案例，对正在修读或已经修读过课程的学生的问卷调 查，并通过对调查结果进行分析，以确定在文化背景下学习汉字的优势，并了解 学生对这些问题的观点。
