Reabilitação da Vila Olinda: as estruturas e infraestruturas como elementos influenciadores na Arquitetura

Abstract

Ao longo dos últimos anos, tem sido possível observar um maior interesse pela reabilitação do edificado e o que esta contribui para o património. Com a preocupação, por vezes extrema, de preservar valores culturais, sociais e ambientais, muitas vezes as questões mais técnicas como a resolução das estruturas e infraestruturas ficam descuradas, resultando de uma forma menos favorável para o edifício. Portanto, neste trabalho de projeto interessa-me, destacar os elementos estruturais e infraestruturais e como é que estes assumem um papel não só funcional, mas também como se interpreta a própria arquitetura. Com um objeto de estudo do início do séc. XX, a Vila Olinda, inserida na freguesia de Sequeirô, rodeada de campos agrícolas, destaca-se no território pela sua dimensão e pela sua qualidade arquitetónica e em como reúne condições para explorar estas temáticas, aquando uma proposta de intervenção. Assim, propõem-se uma intervenção que tem como objetivo principal dar resposta às novas exigências e necessidades atuais, com um maior foco na readaptação e introdução de novos elementos, compreendendo como é que estes resultam em simultâneo com a pré-existência e qual o seu impacto, mantendo ainda a identidade desta.

Over the last few years, it has been possible to observe a greater interest in the rehabilitation of the building and what this contributes to the heritage. With the concern, sometimes extreme, of preserving cultural, social and environmental values, more technical issues such as the resolution of structures and infrastructures are often neglected, resulting in a less favorable form for the building. Therefore, in this project work I am interested in highlighting the structural and infrastructural elements and how they assume a functional role, but also how the architecture itself is interpreted. With an object of study from the beginning of the 20th century, Vila Olinda, located in the parish of Sequeirô, surrounded by agricultural fields, stands out in the territory for its size and for its architectural quality and for its ability to explore these themes, when an intervention proposal is made. Thus, an intervention is proposed whose main objective is to respond to the new demands and current needs, with a greater focus on the readaptation and introduction of new elements, understanding how they result simultaneously with the pre-existence and what is its impact, while maintaining its identity.
