Crescer e aprender com as artes visuais

Abstract

O presente relatório “Crescer e aprender com as artes visuais” é constituído por dois projetos de intervenção, realizados no âmbito de creche e em Pré-Escolar do Mestrado em Educação Pré Escolar. Um dos projetos foi realizado com um grupo de crianças de 1 ano de idade e o outro projeto foi realizado com crianças de 3 anos de idade. Os projetos designados por “Crescer e aprender com as artes visuais” teve como objetivo observar o interesse e o prazer demonstrado pelas crianças ao utilizarem diversos materiais das artes visuais, facto por mim constatado. Estes projetos surgiram ao observar que, em contexto de creche e em pré-escolar, as crianças se mostravam entusiasmadas quando a educadora fazia algum trabalho mais individualizado estimulando e incentivando, desta forma, as restantes crianças a produzirem “por imitação” o que a coleguinha estava a fazer. No projeto em contexto de creche, dando continuidade ao trabalho da educadora cooperante utilizei o tema dos transportes para abordar as artes visuais. Já no projeto que foi elaborado em Pré Escolar, utilizei o tema das emoções e as cores para trabalhar as artes visuais, na medida em que considero ser importante como forma de aprendizagem e de autoconhecimento nesta faixa etária. Tendo em vista um projeto partido das crianças, recorri à metodologia investigação-ação, cujo processo de intervenção inclui processos de observação, pesquisa e uma reflexão contínua e regular, de maneira a analisar e avaliar a ação educativa. Verifiquei que os objetivos a que me propus foram conseguidos pelos processos e aprendizagens desenvolvidas, através das tarefas propostas e pelas produções realizadas pelas crianças. Neste seguimento, é importante criar momentos para que a criança tenha oportunidade de ter contacto com diferentes materiais e técnicas das artes visuais, desenvolvendo assim as suas capacidades de criatividade, imaginação e de expressão.

This report “Growing and learning with visual arts” consists of two intervention projects, carried out within the scope of the daycare center and in the Pre-School of the Master in Pre-School Education. One of the projects was carried out with a group of 1 year old children and the other was carried out with 3 year old children. The projects called “Growing up and learning from the visual arts” aimed to observe the interest and pleasure shown by the children when using various materials of the visual arts, a fact I found. These projects emerged when observing that, in the context of daycare and pre-school, children were enthusiastic when the educator did some more individualized work, stimulating and encouraging, in this way, the remaining children to produce “by imitation” what the classmate was doing. In the project in the context of a day care center, in continuity with the work of the effective educator, I used the theme of transportation to approach the visual arts. As for the project that was developed in Pre-School, I used the theme of emotions to work with visual arts to the extent that I consider it to be important as a form of learning and self-knowledge, in this age group. My pedagogical intention was to challenge and expand children's learning in the field of Visual Arts. For that, I used the intervention-action methodology, whose intervention process included observation, research and continuous and regular reflection, in order to analyze and evaluate the educational action. I found that the goals I set for myself were achieved by the processes and learning developed, through the proposed tasks and the productions performed by the children. In this segment, it is important to create moments so that the child has the opportunity to have contact with different materials and techniques of the visual arts, thus developing their abilities of creativity, imagination and expression.
