A arte como janela para o mundo

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio intitulado “A Arte como janela para o Mundo” na Educação Pré-Escolar e no Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, diz respeito a dois Projetos de Intervenção, realizados no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada (I e II), referentes ao Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, realizado na Universidade do Minho (Braga). Tais momentos sucederam-se em dois contextos diferentes, embora na mesma instituição: um grupo heterogéneo de crianças a frequentar um Jardim de Infância público, e um grupo de crianças de uma turma do 1.º ano, a frequentar uma instituição privada. No Jardim de Infância, o projeto emergiu a partir do entusiasmo demonstrado pelas crianças em conhecer, utilizar e explorar objetos e materiais do quotidiano, aprender novas técnicas e realizar trabalhos no âmbito das artes visuais. Neste sentido, a preocupação relativa à problemática da preservação do meio ambiente e da sustentabilidade, manteve-se sempre presente, demonstrando-se, assim, uma promitente oportunidade de relacionar a Arte e toda a sua potencialidade educativa. Na turma do 1.º ano do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, a intencionalidade pedagógica desenvolvida no primeiro projeto continuou a fazer sentido, muito mais numa situação em que o pais e mais de metade do mundo estavam parados devido à problemática causada pelo vírus Covid-19, o que implicou o Ensino a Distância (E@D) e um trabalho muito diferente do habitual. Aproveitando o merecido reconhecimento pedagógico desta instituição, na área da Educação Artística, conjugou-se uma extraordinária oportunidade de permitir às crianças uma articulação entre a área da Cidadania e Desenvolvimento Sustentável, Estudo do Meio e outras áreas de conteúdo disciplinar, com foco nas Artes / Artes Visuais.

This internship report entitled “Art as a window to the knowledge of the World in Pre-School Education and in the Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education” concerns two Intervention Projects, carried out within the scope of Supervised Teaching Practice (I and II), referring to the Master in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, held at the University of Minho (Braga). Such moments took place in two different contexts, although in the same institution: a heterogeneous group of children attending a public kindergarten, and a group of children in a class of the 1st year, attending a private institution. In the context of the kindergarten, the project emerged from the enthusiasm shown by the children in knowing, using and exploring everyday objects and materials, learning new techniques and carrying out works within visual arts. In this sense, the concern regarding the issue of preserving the environment and sustainability, has always been present, thus showing a promising opportunity to relate Art and all its educational potential. In the 1st year of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education the pedagogical intentionality developed in the first project continued to make sense, much more in a situation where the country and more than half the world were stopped due to the problem caused by the Covid-19 virus, which implied the Distance Learning (E @ D) and a very different job than usual. Taking advantage of the deserved pedagogical recognition of this institution to the area of Artistic Education, an extraordinary opportunity has been combined to allow children an articulation between the area of Citizenship and Sustainable Development, Study of the Environment and other areas of disciplinary content, with a focus on Visual Arts.
