A literatura infantil e a aprendizagem das ciências: contributos para uma articulação na educação Pré-Escolar

Abstract

O presente relatório resultou de um projeto de intervenção pedagógica realizado no âmbito do estágio curricular do Mestrado em Educação Pré-escolar e Ensino do 1.º ciclo do Ensino Básico. A conceção do projeto surgiu de período inicial de observação de um contexto de Educação Pré-Escolar, durante o qual foi possível identificar o interesse das crianças pelas ciências e pela literatura infantil. Assim, através deste projeto procurou-se promover a exploração de histórias infantis em articulação com as atividades práticas de ciências e compreender as potenciais relações que se poderão estabelecer entre a literatura infantil e a exploração das ciências. O projeto desenvolveu-se segundo uma metodologia de investigação-ação e no âmbito do mesmo foram selecionadas 4 obras de Literatura Infantil e planificadas várias atividades. O grupo de crianças de Educação Pré-Escolar tinha idades compreendidas entre os 3 e os 5 anos. Os dados foram registados através de gravações áudio e registos fotográficos, com os mesmos realizaram-se os diários de atividades, que foram sujeitos a análise em função dos objetivos previamente definidos para o presente projeto. Os resultados evidenciam que é possível realizar uma boa articulação entre a Ciências e a Literatura Infantil, ou seja, é possível a construção de diversas aprendizagens acerca de variados temas relacionados com as ciências, alcançados através da exploração das obras de literatura infantil. Evidenciam também determinados processos que se repetem quer na exploração das atividades, quer na exploração da leitura, tais como, a observação, a previsão, a comunicação, o registo e a reflexão.

This report derives from a pedagogical intervention project as a result of the completion of the curricular internship of the Master's Degree in Preschool Education and Teaching of the Elementary School. The pedagogical intervention emerged through an initial stage of observation of the interests and needs of children in the context of preschool education, where the need to create a greater discovery and interaction of children with the sciences and a great curiosity on their part about children's literature was understood. Thus is born the present project that establishes the articulation of the exploration of children's literature to promote learning about the sciences. The project was developed according to an action research methodology and within it 4 works of Children's Literature were selected and several activities were planned. The group of Preschool children was aged between 3 and 5 years. The data were recorded through audio recordings and photographic records, with them the activity diaries were carried out, which were subject to analysis according to the objectives previously defined for this project. The results show that it is possible to perform a good articulation between Science and Children's Literature, that is, it is possible to build various learning about various topics related to science, achieved through the exploration of children's literature works. They also highlight certain processes that are repeated both in the exploration of activities and in the exploration of reading, such as observation, forecasting, communication, registration and reflection.
