Para el estudio de libros-juguete: retextualizaciones para pre-lectores o lectores iniciales de El gato con botas

Abstract

Tendo em consideração uma das tendências contemporâneas da edição para a infância dedicada ao livro-objeto, livro interativo, movable books, ou toy books, o presente artigo pretende refletir sobre obras graficamente distintas do livro tradicional, um corpus textual que encontra nos pré-leitores (incluindo os bebés) e nos leitores iniciais os seus potenciais destinatários e que é composto por obras dedicadas à revisitação do conto O Gato das Botas ou Mestre Gato, narrativa universalmente difundida por Charles Perrault desde 1697. É nosso objetivo dar a conhecer e refletir sobre as principais singularidades destes volumes ou destas reconfigurações verbo-icónicas e gráficas, de autoria variada e cronologicamente dispersos, baseados sobretudo na exploração da materialidade do objeto-livro.

Taking into account one of the contemporary trends in publishing for children dedicated to the object-book, interactive book, movable books, or toy books, this article aims to reflect on editions that are graphically distinct from the traditional book, targeted to pre-readers (including babies) and early readers and are dedicated to retelling the short story Puss in Boots, by Charles Perrault, universally disseminated since 1697. This article aims to make known and reflect on the main singularities of these books, or these verbal-iconic and graphic reconfigurations, of varied authorship and chronologically dispersed, mainly based on the exploration of the materiality of the book object. We intend to affirm the relevance of these artefacts, very seductive in visual and sensorial terms, in the process of early approaches to books and reading; especially the case in ancestral stories, given their potential in the promotion of interventionist and interactive live contact with the book object.
