Análise dos mecanismos de comunicação entre os cidadãos e a Câmara Municipal de Vila Nova de Gaia

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio apresenta uma pesquisa realizada durante o estágio curricular integrado no Mestrado de Ciência Política. A temática surge pela importância que há em perceber se os mecanismos de comunicação são capazes de corresponder às expectativas dos cidadãos. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo observar e analisar os canais de comunicação do município de Vila Nova de Gaia, onde tive a oportunidade de estagiar. Pretende-se responder às seguintes perguntas de investigação: Será possível haver uma governação municipal com a participação dos cidadãos? A informação que o município disponibiliza alcança de facto todos os cidadãos? E, por último, se a participação dos cidadãos trouxe consequência negativas ou positivas. Os resultados foram obtidos através da realização de questionários, entrevistas e análise de relatórios. Desta pesquisa podemos salientar que existe capacidade de resposta por parte dos canais de comunicação do município, porém ainda existem algumas lacunas por resolver no que diz respeito à eficácia a curto prazo, sendo este ainda um problema geral de todos os municípios.

This internship report presents research carried out during the curricular internship integrated in the Master of Political Science. The theme arises from the importance of understanding if communication mechanisms are capable of correspond the expectations of citizens. This research aimed to observe and analyse the communication channels of the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, where I had the opportunity of interning. It is intended to answer the following research questions: Is it possible to have municipal governance with the participation of citizens? Does the information that the municipality provides really reach all citizens? And finally, whether the participation of citizens has had negative or positive consequences. The results were obtained through questionnaires, interviews, and analysis of reports. From this research we can point out that there is openness on the part of the communication channels of the municipality, but there are still some unsolved gaps about short-term efficacy, which is still a general problem of all municipalities.
