Resumo(s)The church of Santa Ana, dated back to the middle of the 13th century, is one of the most remarkable heritage buildings in Seville (Spain). Originally built in Mudejar style, namely a combination of Gothic style imported from Castille, and Almohad style from Islamic Spain, the church underwent numerous modifications and interventions over the years, especially during Renaissance and Baroque periods, driven, in some cases, by natural catastrophes that damaged the building, including the earthquakes of 1356 and 1755. Due to its relevance and complex historical evolution, an inspection and diagnosis programme has been planned and carried out by the authors. The present paper aims at presenting the preliminary results of this investigation that encompasses the documentation of the morphological evolution of the church, the geometric survey, the damage mapping and the material characterisation.
