A escolha do repertório como fator motivacional na aprendizagem de trompete

Abstract

A escolha do repertório é um tema que deveria estar presente no diálogo entre o professor e aluno. Neste sentido, existem autores que defendem que a motivação para o estudo, a dedicação e a performance musical podem ser influenciadas por uma variedade de fatores que, de alguma forma, se relacionam. Um desses fatores é a escolha do repertório. Estas são questões que se procuraram analisar e esclarecer através deste projeto de investigação-ação no âmbito do estágio profissional com o tema “A escolha do repertório como fator motivacional na aprendizagem de trompete”. Este trabalho foi realizado no Conservatório de Música de Barcelos com alunos de trompete, com o objetivo de perceber a importância da escolha do repertório na sua motivação para o estudo. Mais ainda se pretendeu adaptar o gosto pessoal do aluno ao repertório mais indicado ao seu nível. Foi também objetivo analisar a perspetiva do professor cooperante sobre esta temática. Para tal, recorreu-se à elaboração de grelhas de observação, realização de experiências com repertório diversificado e inquéritos. Os resultados mostraram que o docente e os alunos do Conservatório de Música de Barcelos apoiam a escolha do repertório tendo em consideração a motivação e o gosto pessoal do aluno. Através do questionário pude perceber que algum do repertório escolhido pelo professor vai de encontro ao gosto pessoal do aluno. Para o futuro, considera-se importante alargar o estudo deste tema a mais conservatórios e escolas superiores, realizando entrevistas e percebendo as diferentes opiniões dos alunos e docentes sobre esta temática, de forma a promover uma análise de todo o repertório diversificado que os alunos podem aprender durante o percurso musical na trompete.

The choice of repertoire is a topic that should always be present in the dialogue between teacher and student. In this sense, there are authors who argue that motivation for study, dedication and musical performance can be influenced by a variety of factors that are somehow related. One of these factors is the choice of repertoire. These are questions that were sought and analysed, as also clarified through this action research project within the scope of the professional internship with the theme "The choice of repertoire as a motivational factor in trumpet learning". This work was carried out at the Barcelos Music Conservatory with trumpet students, with the aim of realising the importance of the choice of repertoire in their motivation to study. Moreover, it was intended to adapt the student's personal taste to the repertoire best suited to their level. The aim was also to analyse the perspective of the cooperating teacher on this subject. To this end, observation grids were drawn up, experiments with a diverse repertoire and surveys were carried out. The results showed that the teacher and the students of the Barcelos Music Conservatory support the choice of repertoire considering the motivation and personal taste of the student. Through the questionnaire I could realise that some of the repertoire chosen by the teacher meets the student's personal taste. For the future, it is considered important to extend the study of this topic to more conservatories and colleges, conducting interviews and understanding the different opinions of students and teachers on this subject, to promote an analysis of all the diverse repertoire that students can learn during their musical journey on the trumpet.
