Análise da influência dos processos de lavagem nas cores da estamparia digital

Abstract

A Adalberto Textile Solutions, S.A. é uma empresa têxtil dedicada à ultimação de artigos têxteis, englobando a preparação, tingimento, estampagem e acabamento dos mesmos. A estampagem digital com corantes reativos é um dos processos pelos quais a empresa é mais reconhecida, tendo sido pioneira neste âmbito. Com o decorrer das produções têxteis, foi verificado que ocorriam diferenças de cor nos estampados digitais com corantes reativos, quando se passava da lavagem do laboratório da estamparia digital para a produção industrial, na qual são efetuadas lavagens em duas máquinas distintas. O estudo dos fatores responsáveis por esta não reprodutibilidade e a sua otimização conduziu ao trabalho desenvolvido no âmbito desta dissertação. Assim, com o intuito de identificar as variáveis responsáveis pelas inconformidades observadas, foi efetuado um conjunto de ensaios utilizando uma tela 100% algodão, nos quais se avaliaram diferentes fatores que pudessem influenciar as cores presentes num estampado digital, destacando-se o uso de ácido de cítrico na lavagem industrial e a relação de banho e temperatura usadas na lavagem laboratorial. Foi também avaliado se o programa de lavagem do laboratório era adequado a ambas as lavagens industriais que são efetuadas na presente empresa têxtil. A repetibilidade das lavagens no laboratório foi também um fator estudado, bem como a possibilidade de reduzir o caudal usado na lavagem industrial. Por fim, após a otimização das condições de lavagem do laboratório face às da produção e considerando que a presente empresa não opera apenas com telas, decidiu-se realizar outro estudo utilizando uma malha jersey 100% algodão. Com base nos resultados dos estudos realizados verificou-se que a relação de banho e a temperatura são duas variáveis importantes na reprodutibilidade das cores entre a lavagem do laboratório e a lavagem industrial. Além disso, a efetivação das alterações no processo de lavagem conduziu a uma diminuição do número de ocorrências por diferenças de cor em estampados da estamparia digital com corantes reativos.

Adalberto Textile Solutions, S.A. is a textile company dedicated to the finalization of textile articles, encompassing the preparation, dyeing, printing and finishing. Digital printing with reactive dyes is one of the processes for which the company is most recognized, having been a pioneer in this field. With the course of textile production, it was verified that color differences occurred in digital prints with reactive dyes, when it was transposed from the washing of the digital printing laboratory to industrial production, in which washes are carried out in two different machines. The study of the factors responsible for this non-reproducibility and its optimization led to the work developed in the aim of this dissertation. Thus, to identify the variables responsible for the nonconformities observed, a set of tests was performed using a 100% cotton woven, in which different factors that could influence the colors present in a digital print were evaluated, highlighting the use of citric acid in industrial washing and the ratio of bath and temperature used in laboratory washing. It was also assessed whether the laboratory washing program was suitable for both industrial washes that are carried out in the present textile company. The repeatability of washes in the laboratory was also a factor studied, as well as the possibility of reducing the flow rate used in industrial washing. Finally, after optimizing the washing conditions of the laboratory compared to those of the production and considering that the present company does not operate only with screens, it was decided to carry out another study using a 100% cotton jersey knit. Based on the results of the studies carried out, it was verified that the bath ratio and temperature are two important variables in the reproducibility of colors between laboratory washing and industrial washing. In addition, the effectiveness of the changes in the washing process led to a decrease in the number of occurrences due to color differences in digital stamping prints with reactive dyes.
