Reforço com geogrelhas em estruturas ferroviárias : um caso de estudo

Abstract

Uma linha ferroviária balastrada foi executada, no ramal de acesso ao Terminal de Contentores Norte da Portaria Principal do Porto de Leixões, assente sobre um estrato aluvionar de baixa rigi-dez. Aproveitou-se esta obra para aplicar o método observacional, na avaliação do aumento da rigidez da estrutura resultante do reforço com um geossintético e consequentemente desempenho estrutural. A homogeneidade da fundação foi analisada por uma série de penetrómetros dinâmicos ligeiros (PDL) e a evolução da rigidez da estrutura por uma série de ensaios de carga em placa (ECP). Apresentam-se algumas ilações resultantes da aplicação do método observacional.

A classical ballasted railway line was constructed in the North Containers Terminal of Leixões harbor main door, resting on a low stiffness alluvial soil. The opportunity was used to apply the observational method to evaluate the increase stiffness of the railtrack due to the reinforcement by a geosynthetic and consequently their structural performance. The homogeneity of the foundation was analyzed by a serie of dynamic penetration tests and the evolution of the structure stiffness by means of plate bearing tests. Conclusions are presented regarding the efficiency of the observation-al method.
