Relatório de atividade profissional

Abstract

O presente “Relatório de Atividade Profissional” contempla uma reflexão sobre o trabalho mais relevante, desenvolvido enquanto professora de Ciências Físico Químicas dos ensinos básico e secundário. Para além da reflexão sobre o desempenho profissional e sobre a pertinência da formação frequentada durante este período, este trabalho engloba um enquadramento científico. O enquadramento científico é subordinado ao tema “Polímeros Naturais e Sintéticos e Suas Aplicações” o qual foi selecionado por ser muito atual, no que se refere à grande diversidade de “novos materiais” poliméricos que se têm vindo a sintetizar e que se utilizam cada vez mais. A escolha deste tema prendeu-se com um gosto pessoal sobre o assunto e com o facto de ser um conteúdo trabalhado na disciplina de química do 12.º ano e por começar a ser já introduzido, embora de um modo superficial, no 9.º ano de escolaridade, de acordo com as mais recentes alterações das metas curriculares para o ensino básico. Numa segunda parte é feita uma reflexão da prática docente, nomeadamente sobre trabalhos/projetos desenvolvidos com os alunos, com o objetivo da sua formação integral, de promoção de uma boa socialização e valorização do estudo e das relações interpessoais. Os trabalhos/projetos foram também desenvolvidos no sentido de contribuir para uma maior identificação dos alunos com a escola, promover o trabalho em equipa e a articulação entre níveis e ciclos educativos, tendo sido descritos apenas os mais relevantes. A última parte é dedicada à descrição e reflexão sobre a formação desenvolvida/frequentada, com vista a uma contínua atualização tanto no domínio científico como pedagógico e didático, das experiências e competências adquiridas e da relevância das mesmas para a melhoria da prática docente e respetivo contributo para a melhoria dos resultados escolares dos alunos e do seu sucesso académico.

This “Professional Activity Report” includes a reflection on the most relevant work developed as a teacher of the Physical Chemical Sciences of the 3rd cycle of basic level and secondary level education. The report also contains a critical analysis of the candidate´s teaching career, of the continuous learning modules completed, and includes the presentation of a selected scientific topic. “Natural and synthetic polymers and their applications” was the topic selected for the scientific development component. This topic was chosen because of its current relevance and in recognition of the wide range of “new polymeric materials” that have been synthesized and that are of increasing interest. Apart from these reasons, the author also enjoys this subject. This topic is included in the curriculum of the 12th year program and is also present in less detail in the 9th year program, in agreement with the new curricular objectives for basic level education (3rd cycle). In the second part of the report, a critical reflection on teaching practice is presented, particularly with respect to the projects developed with students, in pursuit of the goal of comprehensive training, the promotion of good socialization and the enhancement of study and interpersonal relationship skills. These projects have been developed in order to contribute to a better identification of students with the school, to promote teamwork and coordination between levels and educational cycles. Only the most relevant projects were described in this report. The final part of the report includes a description and reflection on the various training courses completed throughout the candidate´s career with the objective of continuously updating scientific pedagogical and didactic knowledge, experience and skill acquisition. The relevance of these skills in the improvement of teaching practice and in making appropriate contribution to the improvement of the educational achievement of students and their academic success is also discussed.
