Concepção e desenvolvimento de um protótipo de software educativo para a formação contínua de educadores e professores na área do canto

Abstract

Este estudo pretendeu dar um contributo para o desenvolvimento de projectos de investigação que visem colocar a tecnologia educativa ao serviço da formação de educadores e professores. Na revisão da literatura, constatamos que a tecnologia aplicada à educação (Tecnologia Educativa), através da inovação, tem criado melhores condições aos professores e educadores, contribuído decisivamente para o seu enriquecimento. Neste quadro, a relação entre Tecnologia Educativa e Arte torna possível desenvolver uma estratégia que proporcione uma melhor aplicação da arte musical no âmbito educativo. Perante a constatação, em estudo prévio através de um questionário, da dificuldade dos educadores (nível pré-escolar) e professores do 1º Ciclo do Agrupamento de Escolas de Manhente (população alvo do estudo) na abordagem ao canto nas suas actividades lectivas, decidimos conceber e desenvolver um protótipo de software educativo capaz de contribuir para a resolução deste problema real. Através da utilização de uma metodologia de desenvolvimento, que privilegiou a interacção entre o investigador e os profissionais no terreno, procurou-se uma natural consecução dos objectivos propostos, isto é, a verificação da real necessidade de formação vocal da população alvo, a concepção de um protótipo de software educativo que visasse a sua formação vocal e a validação desse software, de uma forma interactiva, junto de uma amostra dessa população e de peritos na área da música e na área da construção de software educativo. Todo este processo teve como resultado um protótipo de software educativo que futuramente, numa posterior investigação, poderá ser melhorado e testado, em situação real de formação contínua, de modo a ser implementado num âmbito mais alargado.

This study was meant to contribute to the development of investigation projects which aim to place the educational technology at the service of the formation of educators and teachers. In the revision of literature we verify that technology applied to education (Educational Technology) through innovation has been creating better conditions for teachers and educators, thus contributing decisively to their improvement. Therefore, the relation between Educational Technology and Art makes it possible to develop a strategy which enables a better application of the art of music in the educational field. With the confirmation, through a previous study made with the help of a survey, of the difficulty of Educators (pre-school level) and Elementary School Teachers of the “Agrupamento de Escolas de Manhente” (target population of the study) in the approach of singing in their school activities, we decided to devise and develop an educational software prototype capable of contributing to the resolution of this real problem. Through the use of a development methodology, which privileged the interaction between the investigator and the professionals on the field, we looked for a natural achievement of the defined objectives, that is, the verification of the real need of formation in the vocal area of the target population, the conception of an educational software prototype, in an interactive way, among a sample of that population and of experts in the music field and in the field of educational software design. The result of this process was an educational software prototype which, in the future, and in a subsequent investigation, may be enhanced and tested in a real situation of ongoing formation so as to be implemented in a wider range.
