Aiming to find simple experimental activities, performed with easily accessible materials and less hazardous solvents, several studies were carried out and led to the development of a very simple and high visual impact liquid-liquid extraction technique, that enables the separation of anthocyanins and flavonoids from red roses petals. This sustainable activity may be implemented in Universities, allowing the teaching/learning of key concepts in practical classes of Organic Chemistry. It can be also used in Secondary Schools to demonstrate several concepts of Chemistry Curricula listed for Secondary Education.por
