(Re)inventar o espaço exterior para promover oportunidades educativas

Abstract

O presente Relatório espelha uma abordagem global desde a conceção, planeamento, desenvolvimento e avaliação de um Projeto de Intervenção Pedagógica, levado a cabo numa turma do Pré-escolar (3 a 5 anos) e numa turma do 1.ºCiclo do Ensino Básico - 3.º ano de escolaridade (8 a 9 anos) em que decorreu a Prática de Ensino Supervisionada no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. O tema geral deste trabalho de investigação prende-se com a necessidade de proporcionar mais atividades ao ar livre e “(Re)inventar o espaço exterior para promover oportunidades educativas”. Pretende-se: proporcionar conhecimentos, aprendizagens e experiências fora das quatro paredes; incentivar o gosto por atividades ao ar livre, ter consciência ecológica, trabalhando o corpo e a mente em simultâneo, alterando rotinas; beneficiar do ar e do sol para novas oportunidades educativas, mantendo sempre a interdisciplinaridade e inovação. Aliado a estes objetivos genéricos, a reduzida mobilidade forçada pela situação pandémica que nos assolou (Covid19), com aumento da obesidade infantil, foi preponderante e extremamente atual neste estudo de investigação. A metodologia escolhida para ser utilizada neste projeto, foi parcialmente baseada na abordagem investigação-ação, orientada por uma investigação qualitativa. Neste sentido, procurou-se responder aos seguintes objetivos de intervenção, nomeadamente: (1) Compreender como o espaço exterior potencializa oportunidades educativas/lúdicas; (2) Avaliar o envolvimento das crianças nas atividades desenvolvidas; (3) Investigar como o espaço exterior pode favorecer novas aprendizagens. A modo de conclusão, o espaço exterior pode ser um local onde as crianças podem aprender de forma mais atrativa, diferenciadora e estimulante. Valida-se que este espaço é um excelente fio condutor de novas aprendizagens, tanto em atividades orientadas como em atividades criativas e lúdicas. Considera-se relevante o elevado envolvimento de todas as crianças neste processo, as quais se dedicaram a todas as propostas com muito entusiasmo. Além disso, pode se afirmar que foi lançado um novo olhar sobre as potencialidades de aprendizagens no crescimento fora de portas, permitindo novas oportunidades educativas.

The present report mirrors a global approach from conception, planning, development and evaluation of a project of Pedagogical Intervention in a preschool (3 to 5 years old) and in a class from 1.º Cycle of Basic Education – 3 rd year of schooling (8 to 9 years old), in which occurred Supervised Teaching practice under the Master’s in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1.º Cycle of Basic Education. The general theme of this research aims to alert the necessity of more outdoor activities and the “(Re)use of the outdoors to promote educational opportunities”. It is intended to promote knowledge and experiences outside the four walls; to encourage the liking of outdoor activities, obtain ecological awareness, simultaneously working with the body and mind, changing routines; to benefit from the sun and air for new educational opportunities, always keeping the interdisciplinarity and innovation. Allied to these generic goals, the reduced forced mobility created by pandemic situation that devastated us (Covid19), the increase in child obesity was preponderant and extremely current in this research study. The methodology chosen to be used in this project was partially based on research-action approach, guided by a qualitative investigation. In this sense, we sought to respond to the following intervention objectives, namely: (1) Understand how the outdoors potentiates educational/playful opportunities; (2) Evaluate the involvement of children in the developed activities; (3) Research how the exterior can support new learnings. By way of conclusion, the outdoors can be a place where children can learn in a much more attractive, different and stimulating way. It is validated that it is an excellent conductor of new learning, both in guided activities and in creative and playful activities. It is relevant the high involvement of all children in this process, who dedicated themselves to all the proposals with great enthusiasm. Besides that, we can affirm that it was launched a new look at the potential for learning outside the classroom doors, allowing for new educational opportunities.
