| dc.description.abstract | This paper is divided into three main parts. First, laughter is analysed from a theoretical perspective, identifying the main approaches to the phenomenon and their respective rationales. Second, the historical evolution of humour in Portugal and China is studied, observing how the concept has changed over time through specific humorous manifestations. Finally, it presents a brief analysis of contemporary humour in both countries, outlining the features that, from an aesthetic point of view, most characterise humour in each context. Based on these elements, a comparison between Portugal and China is made, highlighting similarities and differences, with the aim of drawing conclusions that allow the two cultures to be brought closer together. | eng |
