Tradução literária e comunicação @ TEP – Teatro Experimental do Porto

Abstract

Durante este período de estágio curricular, foi-nos proposto contribuir para o impacto do Teatro Experimental do Porto, a companhia de teatro mais antiga do país ainda em atividade, não só ao fazer parte dos esforços para arquivar digitalmente em duas línguas, português e inglês, a informação técnica sobre as diversas peças produzidas ao longo dos anos, mas também ao traduzir algumas das mais atuais para que possam ser legendadas e então ser interpretadas em países onde a língua falada não seja o português, acompanhadas de uma legenda em inglês, possibilitando assim um maior alcance das peças do TEP.

During this curricular internship, we were asked to contribute to the public impact of Teatro Experimental do Porto, the oldest theater company in activity in the country, not only by taking part in the efforts to digitally archive the technical information on the various plays that do or have belonged to TEP, but also by translating some of the most recent works so that they can be subtitled and then "travel"; that is, so that they can be interpreted in countries where the spoken language is not Portuguese, accompanied by subtitles in English, thus making it possible for TEP's influence to reach a wider audience.
