Enunciação e referenciação. Os discursos de celebração de Abril

Abstract

resumo: A celebração do 25 de Abril, em sede da Assembleia da República, é um evento dis- cursivo que tem como momento central o discurso presidencial. É sobre este género de discurso que nos vamos deter para analisar a construção da referenciação discursiva, no quadro teórico enunciativo-pragmático da análise dos discursos. A centralidade da enunciação na construção dos sentidos dos discursos é amplamente reconhecida. Como refere Charaudeau, a enunciação engloba a totalidade do ato de linguagem realizado. Nesta totalidade está, assim, incluído o processo de construção dos sentidos, e, nomeadamente, a questão da representação do mundo, uma questão já apontada por Benveniste (1970). A referência é sobredeterminada pela enunciação, pelo posiciona- mento enunciativo do locutor. Neste domínio, são particularmente importantes os contributos de Mondada & Dubois (1995) e Mondada (2001). O presente trabalho tem como objetivo a análise dos modos como, nos discursos de celebração do 25 de Abril, é levada a cabo a construção discursiva do objeto de celebração. O corpus de análise é constituído pelos discursos presidenciais de celebração do 25 de Abril (até ao centenário da República), abrangendo os discursos dos quatro presidentes eleitos após o 25 de Abril.

The celebration of the revolution of 25th of April 1974, at the Assembly of the Por-tuguese Republic, is a discursive event that has as its central moment the presidential speech. I will analyze the construction of the discursive reference in this genre of discourse, within the enunciative-pragmatic approach of discourse analysis. The centrality of enunciation in the con-struction of discourse meaning is widely recognized.As Charaudeau points out, the enuncia-tion encompasses the whole of the act of discourse performed. Thus, this includes the process of constructing the meanings of discourse, and in particular the question of the representation of the world, an issue already mentioned by Benveniste (1970). Reference is overdetermined by enunciation, specifically, by the enunciative positioning of the speaker. The theoretical con-tributions of Mondada & Dubois (1995) and Mondada (2001) on reference are particularly important. The present work aims at analyzing how the discursive construction of the object of celebration is carried out, in the speeches celebrating the 25th of April. The data is constituted by the presidential speeches celebrating the 25th of April (until the centenary of the Republic), covering the speeches of the four presidents elected after the revolution
