Da habitabilidade na domesticidade: manual do usuário da CASA—CORPO

Abstract

Esta dissertação não é, propriamente, um “manual da arquitetura doméstica”, nem pretende dar instruções sobre o que é, ou não, uma casa. Trata-se da leitura atenta dos nossos movimentos nos espaços da domesticidade. Despido de alma, antes de mais, reduz-se o utilizador à sua resolução antropométrica. Focamo-nos, simplesmente, na defesa de uma lógica arquitetónica associada ao desenho das nossas medidas funcionais, que ocupam o espaço, através de um olhar centrado nas ações traduzidas numa solução espacial. Aqui, o CORPO é a casa e o espaço é a função. Não pretendemos que a metodologia utilizada conduza à obtenção de respostas exatas de todas as questões que se levantarão neste trabalho. Ambicionamos, antes, o despertar da mente para questões inesperadas, de quem a escreve e de quem a lê, mas que no fundo estão presentes desde o início da “escala abstrata” da casa.

This dissertation is not necessarily a “domestic architecture guide”, nor does it intend to provide instructions about what is, or not, a house. It is merely our attentive view on our movements in domesticity spaces. Firstly, the user is reduced to his/her anthropo metric condition, devoid of soul. We simply focus on defending an architectural logic associated with the drawing of our functional measurements, which occupy the space, through a look centered on the actions translated to a spatial solution. Hereby, the house is the BODY and the space is the role. We do not intend that the used methodology leads to exact answers to the questions that will be raised in this work. We rather strive for the awakening of the minds, that write and read this dissertation, for unexpected interrogations, which in fact are present since the beginning of the “abstract scale” of the house.
