De Campo de futebol a Campo de relações: no difuso de Guimarães através de 54 Campos

Abstract

Esta investigação consiste num estudo sobre o papel do Campo de futebol no território difuso contemporâneo do Vale do Ave. Neste trabalho, a dimensão popular do Campo de futebol é o pretexto para uma leitura despretensiosa das transformações socio-espaciais a que a amostra recolhida está sujeita, traduzindo-as em matéria de interpretação territorial. “Os jogadores foram substituídos por uma vaca e mil quadrados” e “O relvado foi transformado em pelado e a relva transferida para decorar rotundas” são os dois capítulos que estruturam e refletem sobre o material recolhido. Enquanto, no primeiro, se identificam as múltiplas formas e usos do Campo – num registo cíclico – entre o futebol e o social; no segundo abordamos as relações e processos de transformação entre Campo e território numa temporalidade linear. Como consequência da escala da amostra, o trabalho resulta ainda numa catalogação dos 54 Campos interpretados, que são reunidos e compilados num segundo volume onde se sistematizam as informações recolhidas durante o processo de investigação.

This work consists in an investigation about the role of the soccer Field in the contemporary diffuse territory of Vale do Ave. In this work, the popular dimension of the Soccer field is a pretext to a unpretentious interpretation of the social and space transformations that the collected sample is subjected, translating them in territorial interpretation material. “The players have been replaced by a cow and a thousand squares” and “The Turf has been transformed into bare and the turf transferred to decorate roundabouts” are the two chapters that structure and work on the collected information. In the first one, we report on the multiple forms and uses of the field – in a cyclical timeline – between football and social; in the second we discuss the relations and transformations between field and territory in a linear timeline. As a result of the large scale of the chosen sample, the work presents a catalog of the 54 Soccer fields interpreted, that are compiled in a second volume where the information collected through the investigation process is systematized.
