Implementação do BIM nas organizações: práticas e sugestões para a implementação

Abstract

Até meados do séc. XX, o setor da construção civil desenvolveu-se muito rapidamente, sendo considerada a atividade industrial de maior consumo de recursos humanos e materiais. Representava, e continua a representar, um enorme peso para a economia e sociedade. No entanto, atualmente atravessa uma crise que abalou fortemente todo o setor em Portugal. A necessidade de um desenvolvimento tecnológico e sustentável, a par da crise que se abate sobre o setor, representam barreiras que necessitam de ser ultrapassadas para a subsistência da construção em Portugal. Para possibilitar suprimir projetos de construção difíceis de gerir, onde um dos desafios principais é a interdependência dos vários intervenientes do projeto surge, como resposta eficiente às principais barreiras do setor da construção devido às suas inúmeras vantagens e benefícios associados, a metodologia BIM. Apesar de surgirem com cada vez mais estudos, dissertações e trabalhos desenvolvidos sobre esta temática a nível nacional, estes não têm vindo a contemplar o desenvolvimento de normalização ou “Guidelines” de apoio capazes de auxiliar convenientemente os intervenientes da indústria AEC (Arquitetura, Engenharia e Construção), permitindo concluir que a implementação da metodologia BIM está numa fase muito embrionária. Assim, a presente dissertação propõe a elaboração de um guia de orientações e recomendações que permita auxiliar a implementação da metodologia BIM nas organizações em Portugal, com o intuito de disseminar e fomentar a adoção desta metodologia. O caderno de orientações e recomendações apresenta-se como o principal objetivo desta dissertação. De forma a ser possível alcança-lo enveredou-se pela elaboração de um inquérito, para aferir as práticas e caracterizar os processos de implementação da metodologia BIM em Portugal. Para tal foram identificados intervenientes que trabalhem em empresas com a metodologia BIM implementada para responderem a um inquérito. O inquérito serviu, principalmente, para identificar as principais estratégias adotadas para o sucesso da implementação da metodologia BIM. As informações recolhidas, resultantes da análise ao inquérito, mostraram-se fundamentais para o desenvolvimento e caracterização das melhores e mais adequadas estratégias e práticas que serviram de base para a definição do caderno, e que corresponde a um documento bastante ambicionado pelos utilizadores e adeptos da metodologia que pretendam implementar o BIM nas suas organizações. Em suma, espera-se que os resultados obtidos nesta pesquisa possam contribuir para impulsionar a implementação da metodologia BIM em Portugal, podendo contribuir para a maior facilidade e eficiência na gestão das construções.

Until mid-20th century, the civil construction sector has developed very quickly being considered the industrial activity with the biggest consumption of human and material resources. It represented, and still represents, a huge weight to the economy and society. However, presently it is going thought a crises that has strongly shaken all the sector in Portugal. The necessity of a technological and sustainable development, a long side the crises that befalls the sector, represent barriers that need to be overtaken to the sustainability of construction in Portugal. In way to allow to depress construction projects which are hard to manage, where one of the main challenges is the interdependence of the intervenients of the construction project, comes up as an efficient answered to the main barriers of the construction sector due to their countless advantages and benefits associated to the Building Information Modelling methodology. Although they come up each time with more studies, dissertations and developed works about this theme at national level, they have not been contemplating normalization development or support guidelines capable of helping the AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industry intervinients, allowing to conclude that the BIM methodology is in a very embrionary phase. This way, the present dissertation proposes the elaboration of a orientations and recommendations notebook that allow to help the implementation of the BIM methodology in Portugal, With the purpose of disseminating and promoting the growth of the adoption of this methodology. The notebook is presented as the main objective of this dissertation. In order to be able to achive this it was carried out by an inquiry, to evaluate and characterize the implementation processes of BIM methodology in Portugal. So that that can be possible there were identified intervinients working in organizations with BIM implemented to respond to an inquiry that served to identify the main strategies adopted for the successful implementation of the methodology. The information collected, resulting from the inquiry, proved to be fundamental to the development and characterization of better and more adequate strategies and practices which served as the basis to the definition of a notebook, which corresponds of a document fairly ambitioned by the users and supporters of BIM in Portugal. In conclusion, it is waited that the results obtained in this research may contribute to boost the implementation of the BIM methodology in Portugal, being able to contribute to a more facility and efficiency in manage constructions.
