Dificuldade na aprendizagem do Chinês Língua Estrangeira: apoio ao estudo para iniciantes de CLE

Abstract

O seguinte trabalho relata a utilização de materiais de apoio no auxílio do ensino e da aprendizagem de Chinês Língua Estrangeira para iniciantes, inserindo-se no âmbito de um estágio realizado no contexto do Mestrado em Estudos Interculturais Português/Chinês da Universidade do Minho. Dividido em três partes distintas, o relatório inicia com um estudo à teoria de aquisição de língua de Stephen Krashen e à teoria das cinco dimensões de estilos de ensino de Grasha–Riechmann. Desta forma, intenta-se explorar as diferentes etapas do ser humano no processo de aprendizagem de uma nova língua e a forma como diferentes estilos de ensino podem influenciar esse procedimento. Além disso, será realizada uma análise e comparação entre o método de ensino tradicional e não tradicional de línguas com o objetivo de identificar qual dos métodos se adapta melhor à turma do primeiro ano da Licenciatura em Estudos Orientais: Estudos Chineses e Japoneses no ano letivo de 2023/24. Tendo em consideração o anteriormente exposto, o segundo capítulo apresenta as teorias estudadas sob formas de apoio aplicadas à turma e materiais concebidos para auxiliar a sua aprendizagem com a inclusão de observações realizadas no decorrer desta atividade. Por fim, o terceiro capítulo exibe a validade dos apoios e dos métodos de ensino utilizados e expõe as dificuldades sentidas pelos alunos ao longo do semestre, através da recolha, análise e avaliação das suas respostas a um inquérito implementado na turma.

The following work reports the use of support materials to aid the teaching and learning of Chinese as a Foreign Language for beginners. It is a report conducted within the scope of the Master’s in Portuguese/Chinese Intercultural Studies at the University of Minho. Divided into three distinct parts, the report begins with a study of Stephen Krashen's language acquisition theory and Grasha– Riechmann's theory of the five dimensions of teaching styles. In this way, the aim is to explore the different stages of human beings in the process of learning a new language and the way in which different teaching styles can influence this procedure. In addition, an analysis and comparison will be carried out between the traditional and non-traditional language teaching methods with the aim of identifying which method best suits the 2023/24 first-year class of the Degree in Oriental Studies: Chinese and Japanese Studies. Taking into account the above, the second chapter presents the theories studied in forms of support applied to the class and materials designed to assist their learning with the inclusion of observations made during this activity. Finally, the third chapter displays the validity of the support and teaching methods used and exposes the difficulties experienced by students throughout the semester, through the collection, analysis and evaluation of their responses to a survey developed by the author.
