A reorganizaçao do espaço e materiais de uma área de interesse: relato de uma experiência em creche e jardim de infância

Abstract

Este relatório apresenta o projeto de intervenção pedagógica desenvolvido no âmbito do estágio curricular, que permitiu a reorganização do espaço e dos materiais na área dos livros na creche e na área da biblioteca no jardim-de-infância, promover algumas atividades para dinamizar as áreas e apoiar as crianças na sua utilização com o objetivo de melhorar o ambiente físico de aprendizagem nos contextos de intervenção. Para além disso, identifica as potencialidades dos vários materiais possíveis na área da biblioteca para a aprendizagem e desenvolvimento da criança e a importância das práticas pedagógicas adotadas pelo educador de infância enquanto interveniente ativo do processo de ensino-aprendizagem. O Projeto de Intervenção Pedagógica desenvolvido em dois contextos de intervenção, Creche e Jardim de Infância, consistiu na criação e reorganização da área da biblioteca (uma em cada contexto) onde se procurou adequar o espaço às faixas etárias das crianças envolvidas, mas também que fosse ao encontro dos gostos, interesses e necessidades que manifestaram durante o período de observação e também durante o tempo de intervenção. No contexto de creche, a intervenção resultou na criação de uma área dos livros, de acordo com os interesses e necessidades das crianças e no apetrechamento desta mesma área, de modo a fomentar a curiosidade e a envolver as crianças no ”mundo mágico” dos livros. No jardim-de-infância, o processo de intervenção centrou-se na remodelação da área da biblioteca, tornando-a mais atrativa e acolhedora, de modo a melhorar a sua organização e provocar nas crianças o interesse, o gosto, o “encantamento” pelos livros. Foram desenhadas diversas atividades tendo em mente três momentos fundamentais: o antes da criação e reorganização do espaço, durante o desenvolvimento das atividades no espaço e o após a realização das mesmas atividades. Num momento posterior, as atividades foram analisadas tendo como intuito tentar perceber de que forma é que a leitura de histórias e outras atividades no âmbito da área da biblioteca contribuíram para o desenvolvimento de uma maior capacidade de comunicação oral, exploração de materiais, partilha de vivências, construção de frases e também descodificação de diferentes códigos simbólicos. A intervenção pedagógica foi orientada por princípios de investigação-ação no sentido de que implicaram a observação, a planificação, a ação e a avaliação.

This report shows the pedagogical intervention project developed at the curricular internship which allowed the space and material reorganization at the book area in the day care and at the library area in the kindergarten. It also allowed the promotion of some activities to boost the areas and support the children to use them so that the physical learning environment in the intervention contexts can be improved. Besides that, it identifies the potentialities of the several materials available at the library area to help the children learn and develop and the importance of the pedagogical practices adopted by the kindergarten teacher as an active participant in the teaching-learning process. The Pedagogical Intervention Project developed in two intervention contexts, Nursery and Kindergarten, consisted in the creation and reorganization of the library area (one in each context) where we tried to adjust the space to the age of the children involved. We also tried to make it adequate to the interests and needs they showed during the observation period as well as during the intervention time. At the nursery context, the intervention resulted in the creation of a book area according to the interests and needs of the children and in the supplying of this area to promote the curiosity and involve the children in the “magic world” of books. At the kindergarten, the intervention process was centred on the reorganization of the library area, making it more attractive and cozy to improve its organization and bring the interest, the “enchantment” of books to the children. Several activities were planned having in mind three essential moments: before the creation and reorganization of the space, during the development of the activities in the space and after the activities were done. At a posterior moment, the activities were analysed trying to understand how the story telling and other activities at the library area contributed to the development of a better oral communication skill, material exploitation, to share personal experiences, build sentences and also to decode different symbol codes. The pedagogical intervention was oriented by investigation-action principles in the way that observation, planning, action and evaluation were involved.
