Tradução, revisão e formatação: experiência profissional na Palabres AK²

Abstract

Este relatório tem como objetivo analisar e documentar as atividades realizadas durante o estágio curricular na empresa Palabres AK2, como parte do Mestrado em Tradução e Comunicação Multilingue na Universidade do Minho, sob a orientação da Professora Doutora Maria Conceição Teixeira Varela. O estágio, realizado remotamente entre 5 de fevereiro e 5 de maio de 2024, teve uma carga horária semanal de 40 horas e envolveu a tradução de diversos documentos. O foco principal foi a tradução de documentos oficiais e a tramitação administrativa nos pares de idiomas francês e português, abrangendo as variantes de Portugal e do Brasil. O relatório está dividido em quatro partes. A primeira aborda o enquadramento teórico, incluindo os Estudos de Tradução, os documentos oficiais, a invisibilidade do tradutor e a descrição da empresa. A segunda descreve o estágio, detalhando o método e as principais ferramentas utilizadas. A terceira parte analisa os documentos, destacando os aspectos quantitativos e qualitativos. Por fim, a quarta apresenta as conclusões, sintetizando os resultados e as competências desenvolvidas, além de incluir uma reflexão sobre a experiência.

This report aims to analyze and document the activities carried out during the curricular internship at the company Palabres AK2, as part of the master’s degree in Translation and Multilingual Communication at the University of Minho, under the supervision of PhD Professor Maria Conceição Teixeira Varela. The internship, carried out remotely between February 5 and May 5, 2024, had a weekly workload of 40 hours and involved the translation of several documents. The focus was the translation of official documents and administrative procedures in French and Portuguese language pairs, covering both variants of Portugal and Brazil. The report is divided into four parts. The first part addresses the theoretical framework, including translation studies, official documents, the invisibility of the translator, and the company description. The second part describes the internship, detailing the method and the main tools used. The third part analyzes the documents, highlighting both quantitative and qualitative aspects. Finally, the fourth part presents the conclusions, synthesizing the results and the skills developed, as well as including a reflection on the experience.
