A nova literatura brasileira: uma fissura no sistema literário hegemónico

Abstract

A literatura produzida no Brasil entre 2012 e os dias atuais trouxe mudanças e novas características para o Sistema Literário Brasileiro. Componentes históricas e culturais favoreceram a ascensão de um novo perfil de escritores, agentes anteriormente excluídos da possibilidade de acesso à produção literária. Estes novos escritores produziram uma literatura alinhada a componentes emergentes como as temáticas sobre identidade, diferença e representação, e cavaram caminhos de legitimação dentro deste sistema. Considerando que, por ser massivo, este episódio ganhou carácter de fenómeno sociocultural, nesta investigação doutoral apresenta-se quem são e o que realizaram estes agentes desta nova literatura brasileira a fim de compreender qual o impacto objetivo que aportam à tradição literária nacional. Em uma abordagem transdisciplinar, e a luz dos estudos literários e culturais, este objetivo é alcançado através de uma investigação comparada entre a nova literatura e o conjunto da tradição literária brasileira; identificando o perfil do escritor e das produções de cada ciclo literário, decodificando o ethos comum entre eles bem como a relação entre as forças dominantes, emergentes e residuais na produção literária a fim de evidenciar onde e em quê esta nova literatura brasileira se diferencia das demais; e ainda identificar se a tensão gerada pelo seu carácter contra-hegemónico produz uma fissura no campo de força hegemónico ou foi absorvida pelas componentes dominantes do Sistema Literário.

The literature produced in Brazil between 2012 and the present day has brought changes and new characteristics to the Brazilian Literary System. Historical and cultural components have favoured the rise of a new profile of writers, agents previously excluded from access to literary production. These new writers produced literature aligned with emerging components such as the themes of identity, difference and representation, and carved out paths to legitimisation within this system. Considering that, because it was massive, this episode took on the character of a socio-cultural phenomenon, this doctoral research presents who these agents of this new Brazilian literature are and what they have achieved, in order to understand the objective impact they have had on the national literary tradition. In a transdisciplinary approach, and in the light of literary and cultural studies, this objective is achieved through a comparative investigation between the new literature and the whole of the Brazilian literary tradition; identifying the profile of the writer and the productions of each literary cycle, decoding the common ethos between them as well as the relationship between the dominant, emerging and residual forces in literary production in order to highlight where and in what this new Brazilian literature differs from the others; and also to identify whether the tension generated by its counter-hegemonic character produces a fissure in the hegemonic force field or has been absorbed by the dominant components of the Literary System.
