This research aims to analyze and understand the benefits of early childhood intervention in families with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The main objectives of the study are to analyze and understand: a) the parents' expectations when entering early childhood intervention (ECI); b) the level of participation of parents in the ECI support process; c) the benefits that parents have obtained and are obtaining from being supported in ECI; d) the weaknesses that parents identify in ECI support; e) the suggestions for improvement identified by parents in improving the dynamics of ECI functioning, in response to the concerns of the family and the needs of the child with ASD. In order to meet the study's objectives, semi-structured interviews were conducted with four parents of children with ASD, aged between 0 and 6, who had been accompanied by the ECI for at least a year. The main results of this study were that most of the families said they had no prior knowledge of the services provided by the IPI; that the main benefits of this support are related to improving the child's development; that their role is limited to raising their concerns and sharing some videos about the child. Based on the results obtained in this study, it is suggested that there is a need for greater investment in the training of ECI professionals so that it is possible to improve their skills and promote their professional performance in order to qualify their practices and the services and support provided to families in ECI.por
