The coffee industry generates some waste, such as grounds and the silver film that surrounds the beans, which present a business opportunity for developing new materials. This work explores the possibility of incorporating the silvery film of coffee into the manufacture of filaments for printing through Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF). The main objective was to develop a filament based on a PLA biopolymer, incorporating different percentages of silver film, with the aim of creating a sustainable alternative in the production of printed parts. The filaments were produced by extrusion with different concentrations of coffee silver film, ranging from 5% to 15%, and then used to manufacture printed specimens. The materials were thermally and rheologically characterized to assess the impact of incorporating filler on their properties. The specimens were evaluated mechanically in order to analyze the material's performance during processing and printing. The compositions were compared with the pure biopolymer to validate the viability of the filaments produced. The specimens were evaluated mechanically to analyze the material's performance during processing and printing. The compositions were compared with the pure biopolymer in order to validate the viability of the filaments produced. Specimens were also produced with the same materials by injection molding to compare the mechanical properties of the different processing methods. The results of the characterization of the materials showed that the addition of the silver film reduced the tensile strength, but slightly increased the stiffness, and an increase in the fluidity of the material was observed. When comparing the printed specimens with the specimens obtained by injection molding, the latter resulted in better uniformity and resistance compared to the printed ones. It is concluded that the addition of silver film is a promising alternative for future applications, but it is recommended to limit it to lower loading percentagespor
