Autobiografia em vídeo : um estudo de caso com alunos do 6.º ano de escolaridade

Abstract

A criação, por adolescentes, de pequenos filmes (audiovideografia), sobre si próprios e sobre o seu mundo, contribui para a construção e afirmação da sua identidade de forma positiva? Apresentamos um estudo de caso de natureza qualitativa durante o qual alunos usaram as tecnologias vídeo numa experiência de relato autobiográfico. Tivemos como objectivos: contribuir para uma consciencialização dos alunos relativamente à sua identidade, sensibilizando para as identidades alheias; motivar para uma vivência positiva da escolaridade, fomentando o desejo de aprender e o empenhamento; proporcionar uma aproximação à linguagem audiovisual; promover a cidadania. Verificamos que a escola passou a ser, para estes jovens, um espaço mais agradável, gratificante e de aprendizagem auto-motivada e que se desencadeou um processo de reflexão que contribuiu para a construção/afirmação da identidade ajudando a ultrapassar dificuldades de aprendizagem ligadas a um baixo auto-conceito.

Does creation of short films (audiovideography) by teenagers, about themselves and about their world, contribute to the construction and affirmation of their identity in a positive way? A qualitative case study was designed where a group of students, from two classes of 6th grade, used video technologies on an experience of autobiographical report. Our goal: contribute to an students‟ awareness regarding their identity and raising awareness of the identities of others; motivate students to a positive experience of schooling, fostering their desire to learn and their engagement in activities; provide an approximation of the languages used at the school to the languages used outside the school, promoting citizenship through the learning of audiovisual language. We found that the school has become a more enjoyable, rewarding and self-motivated learning experience for these young people and that it triggered a thought process that contributed to the construction/affirmation of their identity by helping them to overcome learning difficulties related to low self-concept.
