Reabilitação de edifícios visando a eficiência energética

Abstract

A situação ambiental do nosso planeta tem-se revelado cada vez mais preocupante ao longo dos anos, sendo a gestão dos recursos energéticos uma das principais causas desta preocupação. A energia é um bem essencial, mas a sua produção e consumo têm registado um grande impacto ambiental, ameaçando o equilíbrio do planeta e a salvaguarda de gerações futuras. Actualmente, o sector dos edifícios é um dos principais responsáveis pelo consumo energético mundial, pelo que a melhoria do seu desempenho energético pode contribuir significativamente para a sustentabilidade energética e ambiental do planeta. Assim, este trabalho consiste no estudo de medidas de eficiência energética no campo da reabilitação de edifícios, no intuito de compreender e avaliar o impacto que estas medidas podem representar na redução dos consumos energéticos deste sector. Foi utilizado como caso de estudo deste trabalho um edifício de habitação unifamiliar construído no ano de 1963, para o qual foi analisado o seu desempenho energético antes e após a aplicação de diferentes medidas de reabilitação. Para esta análise foi utilizado o software de simulação dinâmica Design Builder onde foi concebido o modelo do edifício em questão atendendo às suas características e realizadas as devidas alterações mediante os requisitos das medidas de reabilitação a aplicar. Deste modo foi obtido o diagnóstico energético após cada simulação, o que permitiu avaliar o impacto no consumo energético do edifício. No final foi ainda realizada uma análise económica a fim de compreender a relação custo/benefício da aplicação das diferentes medidas de reabilitação estudadas. Os resultados deste estudo mostram que é possível tornar um edifício energeticamente mais eficiente, reduzindo as suas necessidades energéticas através da aplicação de várias medidas de reabilitação.

The environmental status of our planet has been revealing itself increasingly worrying over the years, being the management of the energy resources as one of the main causes of concern. Energy is an essential commodity, but its production and consumption have registered a large environmental impact, threatening the balance of the planet and the protection of future generations. Nowadays, the building sector is one of the main responsible for the world’s energy consumption, which means that improving the buildings’ energy performance can significantly contribute to the world’s energetic and environmental sustainability. Therefore, this work consists in the study of energy efficient measures in the buildings’ rehabilitation field, in order to understand and assess the impact that these measures can have in reducing the energy consumption of this sector. It was used as a case study of this work a building of single family dwelling built in 1963, for which was analyzed the energy performance before and after the application of the different rehabilitation measures. This analysis was made using the dynamic simulation software Design Builder, designing the model according to the characteristics of the building and making the appropriate amendments required by the rehabilitation measures. Thus, the energetic diagnosis obtained by each simulation allowed to assess the impact on the building energy requirements. In the end it has still been made an economic analysis in order to understand the cost/benefit relation of the rehabilitation measures studied. The results of this study show that it is possible to improve the energy efficiency of a building, reducing its energetic requirements by the application of some rehabilitation measures.
