Paredes de Cristal - as múltiplas dimensões da pobreza no feminino e o caso da América Latina rural

Abstract

O presente trabalho se propõe a analisar os elementos sociais e culturais que influenciam o desenvolvimento humano feminino, especialmente nas zonas rurais da América Latina. Busca-se correlacionar a precariedade da oferta educativa com bases libertadoras, como defendida por Paulo Freire, à análises sobre a incidência da prática do casamento infantil e suas repercussões na região. As análises aqui apresentadas intencionam promover uma compreensão não monolítica do problema, focando então na relação entre os múltiplos fatores envolvidos, e sobretudo, estabelecendo os pontos em que estes se interseccionam. Por meio da apreciação de tais fatores, e associando-os a alguns critérios de exclusão mais subjetivos e invisibilizados, procura-se demonstrar que ao se nascer mulher dentro de determinadas condições, presencia-se a exacerbação de uma realidade de vulnerabilidades e exclusão intergeracional. Além disto, destacam-se os elos de perpetuação desse contexto como os grandes responsáveis pela desigualdade estrutural histórica na região. Insere-se, por fim, a educação como grande catalisadora de mudanças e quebra de padrões de desigualdade. Neste ponto, destaca-se a importância em se atentar e promover uma educação libertadora, ou empoderadora, fundamentada na aquisição de capacitações e liberdades substantivas, capazes de alterar o status quo social e cultural, assim transformando finalmente o rosto da pobreza.

This paper aims to analyze the social and cultural elements that influence female human development, especially in rural areas of Latin America. The aim is to correlate the precariousness of the educational offer with liberating bases, as defended by Paulo Freire, to analyze the incidence of the practice of child marriage and its repercussions in the region. The analysis presented here intends to promote a non-monolithic understanding of the problem, thus focusing on the relationship between the multiple factors involved, and above all, establishing the points where they intersect. Through the assessment of such factors and associating them with some more subjective and invisible exclusion criteria, we seek to demonstrate that when a woman is born under certain conditions, there is an exacerbation of the reality of vulnerabilities and intergenerational exclusion. In addition, the links that perpetuate this context stands out as being largely responsible for the historical structural inequality in the region. Finally, education is inserted as the great catalyst for change and breaking patterns of inequality. At this point, the importance of paying attention to and promoting a liberating or empowering education is highlighted, based on the acquisition of substantive skills and freedoms, capable of changing the social and cultural status quo, thus finally transforming the face of poverty.
