Estudo e análise de um dispositivo de reabilitação da articulação tibiotársica

Abstract

Atualmente existem diversos tipos de dispositivos e técnicas para a reabilitação da articulação tibiotársica. No presente trabalho pretende-se estudar e avaliar o Therapheet, um equipamento já existente para a reabilitação da articulação do tornozelo, e propor alterações de melhoria, atendendo às especificações e requisitos necessários para um dispositivo desta categoria, e o seu teste, a fim de verificar a sua funcionalidade, o seu desempenho e adequabilidade. Este equipamento deverá permitir a execução de movimentos com ângulos de amplitude característicos dos exercícios de dorsiflexão e flexão plantar, de inversão e eversão, e ainda de abdução e adução, os quais permitirão ao(s) paciente(s) alcançar(em) os movimentos naturais do pé, assegurando a sua reabilitação completa. O dispositivo deverá possibilitar ao profissional de saúde o controlo do movimento a executar, em termos de direção, amplitude e força muscular, permitindo ajustar cada um dos parâmetros às diferentes fases da reabilitação, sempre com rigor e eficiência e não colocando em risco o paciente durante os exercícios. Durante esta dissertação será apresentado o projeto de automação referente ao funcionamento do equipamento de reabilitação Therapheet, assim como será implementada, de forma coerente, a metodologia de projeto para alcançar a otimização do equipamento. Por fim, serão apresentadas e testadas soluções que contribuirão para um dispositivo melhorado e singularmente distinguível no mercado.

Nowadays there are several types of devices and techniques for the rehabilitation of ankle injuries. In this work it is intended to study and evaluate Therapheet, an existent device for the rehabilitation of the ankle, and propose changes of improvement considering specifications and requirements needed for this kind of device, and their test in order to verify their functionality, performance and suitability. This equipment should allow the performance of movements with amplitudes characteristic of dorsiflexion and plantar flexion, inversion and eversion, as well as abduction and adduction exercises, which will allow the patient to achieve the natural movements of the foot ensuring their complete rehabilitation. The Therapheet device should allow the health professional the control of the movements in terms of amplitude and muscle strength, by adjusting each one of the parameters to the different phases of the rehabilitation always with accuracy and efficiency and not putting the patient in risk during the exercises. During this dissertation it will be presented the automation project relative to the operation mode of the rehabilitation equipment Therapheet, so as it will be implemented in a consistently way the design methodology in order to reach the optimization of the equipment. Lastly, it will be presented and tested the solutions that will contribute for an improved device and singularly distinguishable in the market.
