A visita de estudo, real ou virtual, como metodologia no ensino das Ciências Musicais aplicada à história da música em Portugal

Abstract

O presente relatório é resultado do Estágio profissional realizado na Academia de Música de Castelo de Paiva, no âmbito do Curso de Mestrado em Ensino de Música da Universidade do Minho, tendo por base uma metodologia de investigação-ação. A temática principal incide na aplicação das Visitas de Estudo, real ou virtual, como metodologia nas Ciências Musicais, respondendo à problemática da sua subalternidade no ensino especializado da música, e a difícil introdução da temática da História da Música em Portugal. Para aplicação e consolidação da visita de estudo como prática metodológica, foram elaboradas ferramentas didáticas, como um Dossier-Guia, que contém informações específicas e fichas de trabalho associadas aos locais a visitar. Na intervenção pedagógica, foram implementadas duas visitas de estudo tendo por objeto a História da Música em Portugal no séc. XVIII: uma realizada no curso secundário de música de História da Cultura e das Artes (11º ano/7º grau), e outra no curso básico de música de Formação Musical (turma com alunos do 2º e 3º graus). Para análise de dados desta investigação-ação, fizeram parte a observação direta das aulas e do comportamento dos alunos, a análise e correção das fichas de trabalho realizadas pelos alunos durante a visita, e a análise pormenorizada da “Grelha de Avaliação da Visita de Estudo Virtual” entregue individualmente aos alunos no final da intervenção. Da análise e reflexão dos dados obtidos foi possível concluir que a Visita de Estudo e as ferramentas pedagógicas associadas são relevantes no campo das Ciências Musicais, em particular na aplicação prática da temática da História da Música em Portugal, motivando os estudantes na sua frequência.

This report is the result of the professional internship carried out at Castelo de Paiva´s Academy of Music, within the scope of the Master’s degree in Music Teaching at the University of Minho., based on action-research methodology. The main theme focuses on the application of field trip, real or virtual, as a methodology in Musical Sciences, responding to the problem of its subordination in the specialized teaching of music, and the difficult introduction of the theme of the History of Music in Portugal. In order to apply and consolidate the field trip as a methodological practice, didactic tools were developed, such as a Dossier-Guide, which contains specific information and worksheets associated with the places to visit. So, in the pedagogical intervention, two study visits were implemented with the object of the History of Music in Portugal in the 18th century: one held in the secondary music course of History and Culture of Arts (11th grade/7th grade), and another in the basic music course of Music Theory (class with 2nd and 3rd grade students). For data analysis of this action-research were involved, the direct observation of the classes and the behavior of the students, the analysis and correction of the worksheets carried out by the students during the visit, and the detailed analysis of the "Evaluation Grid of the Virtual Field Trip” delivered individually to students at the end of the intervention. From the analysis and reflection of the data obtained, it was possible to conclude that the field trip and the associated pedagogical tools are relevant in the field of Musical Sciences, in particular in the practical application of the History of Music in Portugal theme, motivating students.
