A importância das aulas de campo no ensino de Ciências

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio foi desenvolvido no âmbito da unidade curricular Estágio do Mestrado em Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e de Matemática e Ciências Naturais no 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Este relatório pretende contribuir para o conhecimento da importância das Aulas de Campo no ensino de Ciências. Por isso, foi desenhado um projeto de investigação-ação com o objetivo de trabalhar com os alunos as Aulas de Campo, avaliando assim a sua importância no ensino das ciências e construir conhecimentos significativos sobre o tema a abordar. Para trabalhar as Aulas de Campo escolheu-se o tema “As Plantas”, o motivo desta escolha prendeu-se a alguns motivos, nomeadamente à envolvente, rural, das instituições onde foi desenvolvida esta investigação. A amostra desta investigação é composta por duas turmas, uma do 1.º e outra do 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, no ano letivo 2021/2022, sendo a primeira, uma turma de 3.º ano, constituída por 20 alunos e a segunda, uma turma de 6.º ano, composta por 18 alunos. Estas turmas pertencem a duas escolas autónomas, mas que se encontram inseridas no mesmo agrupamento, localizado num concelho pertencente ao distrito de Braga. Sendo assim, definiram-se os objetivos de investigação e atendendo a estes, utilizou-se uma abordagem de investigação-ação, recorreu-se a fichas individuais realizados pelos alunos, gravação de áudio e imagens e reflexões das aulas lecionadas de onde foram recolhidos e analisados os dados apresentados. Os alunos realizaram as Aulas de Campo sempre acompanhados pelo seu caderno de campo, que lhes permitiu confrontar as suas ideias prévias com as evidências observadas e construir e reconstruir o seu próprio conhecimento. Após a recolha dos dados, os mesmos foram analisados e explorados, tendo por base o suporte teórico. Os resultados alcançados comprovaram as vantagens que esta metodologia traz para a aprendizagem dos conteúdos académicos, na área das Ciências Naturais.

This internship report was developed within the scope of the curricular unit Internship of the master’s in teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education. This report intends to contribute to the knowledge of the importance of Field Classes in Science teaching. Therefore, an action-research project was designed with the aim of working with students in Field Classes, thus evaluating their importance in science teaching and building significant knowledge on the topic to be addressed. To work the Field Classes, the theme “Plants” was chosen, the reason for this choice was related to some reasons, namely the rural surroundings of the institutions where this research was developed. The sample of this investigation is composed of two classes, one from the 1st and the other from the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education, in the academic year 2021/2022, the first being a 3rd year class, consisting of 20 students and the second, a 6th grade class, made up of 18 students. These classes belong to two autonomous schools, but which are part of the same grouping, located in a municipality belonging to the district of Braga. Therefore, the research objectives were defined and, considering these, an action-research approach was used, using individual files made by the students, audio recording and images and reflections of the classes taught from where they were collected and analyzed the data presented. The students took the Field Classes always accompanied by their field notebook, which allowed them to confront their previous ideas with the observed evidence and to build and reconstruct their own knowledge. After collecting the data, they were analyzed and explored, based on theoretical support. The results achieved proved the advantages that this methodology brings to the learning of academic content around Natural Sciences.
