Trabalho didático com fontes históricas e geográficas em Estudo do Meio e História Geografia de Portugal

Abstract

O presente relatório foi elaborado no âmbito da Unidade Curricular de Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e de Português e História e Geografia de Portugal no 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico da Universidade do Minho. O trabalho desenvolvido descreve, analisa e reflete sobre o Projeto de Intervenção Pedagógica implementado em dois contextos distintos: uma turma do 4.º ano do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e uma turma do 6.º ano do 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. A intervenção teve como foco o desenvolvimento de competências de recolha e tratamento de informação, através do trabalho didático com fontes históricas e geográficas, abordadas de forma multimodal e interdisciplinar, nas disciplinas de Estudo do Meio e História e Geografia de Portugal. O projeto foi sustentado numa metodologia de Investigação-Ação, promovendo uma prática reflexiva, ajustada às necessidades dos alunos e ancorada nos documentos curriculares orientadores. Os resultados obtidos evidenciam progressos significativos na capacidade dos alunos para interpretar diferentes tipos de fontes, organizar e relacionar a informação, sintetizar conteúdos e comunicar ideias com clareza. Verificou-se, ainda, um aumento da participação, da autonomia e da reflexão crítica dos alunos e um maior espírito colaborativo no trabalho em grupo. Conclui-se que, recorrendo a fontes diversificadas, ao trabalho sistemático de análise e interpretação, à abordagem interdisciplinar e à utilização de metodologias ativas centradas no aluno, é possível promover o desenvolvimento de competências de recolha e tratamento de informação nos 1.º e 2.º Ciclos do Ensino Básico.

This report was developed within the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice course unit of the Master's Degree in Teaching for the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and Portuguese and History and Geography of Portugal in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education at the University of Minho. The work carried out describes, analyses and reflects on the Pedagogical Intervention Project implemented in two different educational settings: a 4th-grade class from the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and a 6th-grade class from the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education. The intervention focused on the development of information collection and processing skills through didactic work with historical and geographical sources, approached in a multimodal and interdisciplinary way within the subjects of Environmental Studies and History and Geography of Portugal. The project was based on an Action Research methodology, promoting a reflective teaching practice, tailored to the students' needs and anchored in curricular guiding documents. The results obtained show significant progress in students’ ability to interpret different types of sources, organise and relate information, synthesise content and communicate ideas clearly. Furthermore, there was an increase in students' participation, autonomy and critical reflection, as well as a stronger collaborative spirit in group work. It is concluded that, through the use of diverse sources, systematic analysis and interpretation, interdisciplinary approaches and active, student-centred methodologies, it is possible to foster the development of information collection and processing skills in the 1st and 2nd Cycles of Basic Education.
